My horrible experience at NYC Seafood Restaurant located in Monterey Park, California 91754

On 10/11/05, as a longtime customer patronizing this business located at 715 W. Garvey Ave - I was appalled to see first hand the poor customer service at this restaurant.
Usually this restaurant has a high quality food selection and presentation. Because we are frequent customers, we are given free rice which is normally $0.50 per person at the table. However on this day we were treated very poorly with arrogance and outright rudeness!
I believe this business thinks they can treat customers poorly and succeed like the businesses in Asia. However, this being a free democratic country (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA), we shall find out if this business is worthy of survival in a highly competitive food business in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley!

Details of my experience at NYC Seafood Restaurant in Monterey Park, California:

1. After being seated and given menus, our waiter who was the person to blame 100%, made 2 errors on our food order.
2. He charged us for a soup item that was more than what was brought out. When I questioned the wrong item, he remarked to us "non Chinese speaking folks" to just eat what he gave us. We still got charged for the more expensive soup when we received a lower priced soup.
3. The second item was a outright overcharge of a so called special they had. The waiter claimed that the special was live whole shrimp steamed and served with a soy-onion sauce. He claimed there was a special of "buy one pound, get one pound free for $21". When the check came, there was no special all of a sudden! We got charged the full price!
4. When I confronted the waiter, he all of a sudden had no recollection of the special and the manager was even more rude! The manager just threw the check back at us and said that's the total - regardless of whether their employee made the error.
5. Even they had the arrogance to charge us the rice even though in the past they had waived it!
